I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.
This is one roller coaster of a story. There were so many crazy things happening that it was sometimes hard to keep track of it all, but it's enjoyable and entertaining. Will and Alexa are the 2 leads, and they've got the goods to make a great couple if they can make it through all the secrets and mysteries in their lives. Will is a billionaire playboy whose heart is on lockdown and Alexa is a poor woman struggling to make ends meet.
They both have crazy families with secrets buried so deep it would take an army of Sherlocks to get through to the bottom of them! If Will and Alexa can make sense of both their own and each others' secrets and open up to each other about them, they will be well on their way to a healthy relationship.
One of the things I most liked was seeing the character development Will went through. He started off as kind of a weak character afraid to let his heart feel, and by the end of book 6, he was in love with Alexa and ready to protect her and give her his heart. I can't wait to read what the last books have in store and if Will and Alexa get their HEA.
Book 1
Alexa is down on her luck. She currently lives with her ex boyfriend. She is working as a nanny/personal assistant and feels as though she is at the end of her rope. She has a college degree, she has had countless jobs in the past couple of years and nothing has come out of it all. In comes Will, spoiled rich kid. He lost his great love four years before and refuses to allow for himself to develop feelings for another female. With this in mind, he continues to have a series of one night stands that leaves his latest conquests with a sweet note and a brand new white gold and sapphire necklace. A real playboy, he is constantly hounded by the press. One day while scoring drugs in a grocery store, Will and Alexa cross paths while Alexa is shopping for her employer. With this faithful meeting, Alexa and Will become irrevocably connected. Will uses Alexa to try to cover what he has been up. During her assistance of Will, she gets into an accident and loses her job. Could her life get any worse? In comes Vivian an old friend of both Will and Alexa but from different circles. After a night out, Vivian is dead. Alexa and Will are possible suspects. In comes Rebecca Harper with some personal information regarding Alexa's life and a hand out for Alexa. What will happen now?
Book 2
Will and Alexa are apprehensive about their current situation. Will doesn't think he can trust Alexa but wants to be able to turn her to his side. Alexa, doesn't like the fact that personal information about her is being used in order to get her to agree to the contract. Emotions are flying all around. They start to become closer and share an intimate moment. Then another woman is found murdered that had been with Will previously. Will is arrested. Who is killing the women of Will's past? Will Will be able to overcome this current issue? Will the murders be solved?
Book 3
Feelings start to develop between Will and Alexa. The more time that they spend together, the closer they feel to each other. Rebecca disapproves of course. She knows the truth behind Alexa's life. Will she eventually spill the beans about Alexa's background? Or, will the truth come out in another way?
Book 4
Alexa is out shopping spending the Harper matriarch's money while she can. While out on her shopping expedition, she is shot. Will, who is jealously in bed wondering where she is upon waking, finds out that she has been shot and in the hospital by none other than Alexa's ex Chase. Alexa wonders who could possibly want her dead. And Will wonders who could be the murderer who is going around offing those that he has a close relationship with. He worries about Alexa as she is now in the murderers cross hairs due to the contract that connects her to Will. He realizes that he loves her and worries about her feelings towards him. In the end Will's mother gives him a choice on what he can do in order to keep Alexa? Will he make the choice or will he allow for Alexa to make her on decision?
Book 5
Many revelations come to light in this novel. Alexa and Will are in love with each other. However, Will is jealous of Alexa's relationship with her ex, Chase. Chase loves Alexa and she still loves him. Will knows that there is a secret that Alexa is keeping from him regarding her past and he goes off to investigate to find out the truth. Alexa does some digging of her own to find out the connection with Rebecca Harper and her family. When the truth comes out, Alexa is stunned, but she begins to formulate a plan. Where are all of these connections leading? In a fit of rage and jealousy, Will ends up doing something that he may regret down the line. Will Alexa be able to forgive will in the end? Only time will tell.
Book 6
Alexa's secrets come to light with Will. Rebecca explains everything to Will as she understands it. She evens gives Will information about Vivian and her real reasons for reappearing in his and Alexa's life. The whole situation had been a plot the Rebecca saw fit to make happen. The person behind the clean up at the mureder scene is revealed and the possible murderer is fingered. A lot of twists and turns and even more revelations come to pass. Alexa's past comes to find her after her disappearance. What will happen when Alexa's family comes calling? Will Alexa and Will be able to be together in the end? Will Rebecca achieve her revenge? Will Chase come back in Alexa's life? Will they end up finding Jason and finding out the truth? So many questions, so little time. - I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book 1
Alexa life just doesn’t seem to be working out like she planned. Living with her ex and working as an assistant she is just about at her last straw. She has gone to college but with countless jobs behind her she finds nothing just seems to be what she is looking for. Will is kind of a playboy having one nightstands after losing his one and only love. He just doesn’t want to go through all that again. They meet in a grocery store and connect. Here you will find a lot of drama, murder and mayhem.
Book2
Things aren’t looking to good for this couple Will wanting to trust Alexa but just can’t seem to be able to. Alexa isn’t happy how her information is use to make her do things she doesn’t want to. This book is very emotional. As they become closer more women are murdered. All fingers are pointing to Will because these are women from his past. It will be interesting to see who the killer is and what it has to do with Will.
Book 3
Lots of drama here as Will and Alexa spend more time together they get closer as their love starts growing. It looks like Rebecca is going to throw a twist in with her knowing the truth about Alexa . It will be interesting to see just how or if this information comes out.
Book 4
While out shopping Alexa gets shot leaving Will to wonder why she isn’t in bed with him when he wakes up. On finding out she was shot leaves him worries about her now that she could be on the murders list. Alexa wonders why someone wants her dead. Will is left torn being with him seems to have put her in danger he will have to decide if love is worth maybe losing her.
Book 5
In this book you have a love triangle and Will trying to work out what Secret Alexa is hiding. Both Will and Alexa goes behind the others back trying to find out what they feel they need to. Will is a very jealous and he is about to do something that might not be for the best. Will he loose Alexa over the mess he made?
Book 6
Here a lot of things will come out from secrets to murders. The author throws in lots of twists and turns from revenge to love.
This was a very emotional read each character has their own issues as well as having to deal with issues together. There are a lot of twists and turns giving the reader some interesting reading. The author does a great job pulling on the readers heartstrings. At times you really feel for the characters, at other times I found myself yelling at them. It is a series and leaves you hanging you will have to read the next books to find out if there will be a HEA. The author did pull me in and keep me invested in the read. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series to find out the answers to all my questions.
The twist and turns in this story are amazing. I love it, but I am dying to get to the end!!!! Poor Will and Alexa, they are pawns in an evil game. Who is the master manipulator.
